Access by car

Drive on E18 to Sandvika, take off and follow E16 towards Hønefoss. Follow the signs to the hospitals. Martina Hansens Hospital is located to the right of Bærum Hospital.

Public transport

You can easily get to Sandvika from Oslo by train or bus. From Sandvika, you can take a taxi or bus number 215A or 215B towards Kolsås to the Bærum Hospital bus stop. When you get off the bus, the hospital is located to the left of the bus stop.

We aim to be a leading hospital in the use of new research-based treatment methods in orthopedics and rheumatology. We have an enrgetic research environment and a research committee that is an active driver for the development of research activity at the hospital.

Research projects lead to a particular expertise in the relevant fields. Several of our projects are collaborative studies with other departments in the country, while others are collaborative projects with research networks both nationally and internationally.
