In addition, she has collaborated with the National Cruciate Ligament Register to examine the survival of cruciate ligament-operated knees in Scandinavia.

The hospital is participating in a large international multicenter study for follow-up of a new type of knee prosthesis, and Jansen is the project leader for the Norwegian contribution. Ongoing projects

Iversen is currently conducting a randomized controlled double-blind study to test the effect of Zoledronic acid on patients with hip osteoarthritis and bone lesions. The primary endpoint is to test whether patients experience less pain, but the study also aims to investigate whether they experience better function, better bone quality, and less wear and tear compared to the placebo group. If osteoarthritis patients can be treated with Zoledronic acid, it may be possible to delay prosthesis for several years. This could be of great importance for young prosthesis patients who may avoid revision later in life.
